Jason and Basil who won the 15th Asian Games Men’s Trios Silver and 1st Asian Youth Games Boys Masters Gold respectively are no strangers to competitions of such stature. Though the Men’s team also includes younger team members, they too have their individual achievements in other bowling championships which include the 2008 World Youth Championship and the 21st Asian Intercity Bowling Championship. With their combined strength, the men’s team does not lack any luster in their quest to win.

The Women’s team is also set to compete for the highest honor in this Asian Games. With their past achievements in the various prominent bowling championships which include the World Youth Championship 2010 and World Women’s Championship 2009, they are in good stride to perform in the upcoming Asian Games.

Mrs Jessie Phua, President of SingaporeBowling said, “Some of our bowlers may be young, but they have the drive and motivation to excel. I am confident they will put in their best performance and do us proud.”

The team is now in the final lap of their peaking programme which includes training under the simulated competition environment.
